Question about 2003 GMC Yukon XL

Wants to start but cuts out

I have an intetmittent problem with my 2003 Yukon. When you turn it over it tries to fire but then just cuts out. Did it a few times in the past and after letting it sit for a short period it would start. Problem seems to be getting worse though and now when it happens it wont start at all for days.

A flashing CEL (Check Engine Light) is something serious to be concerned about. A flashing CEL indicates that your vehicle's engine is misfiring, which could severely damage your catalytic converters.
Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop .

My 2003 GMC Sierra idles rough and cut off sometimes when turning.Replaced fuel filter and changed plugs.engine light stays on.Which 02 sensors do i need to replace first? Before converter or after...

Before replacing the O2 sensors, I would check the fuel pressure. You may also try to have someone pull a trouble code from the powertrain control module to verify why the engine light is on. Do not replace any parts until this is done, otherwise your going to be guessing at the root cause, and it will get expensive with part replacement.

2003 yukon

Check your fuel pressure, could be a faulty fuel pump. Could also be a cracked spark plug wire or ign coil.

Really need to take to a shop or diagnose yourself. As the saying goes, the prob is "Fuel or Fire"
