Replace the flat battery
normally a chirping alarm is indicating that the battery is going flat and the alarm is no longer reliable
most fire authorities recommend a anniversary date and change the battery on that date for example ---every christmas eve

Flashing small red light and chirping noise on top of dash of my Cadillac DTS? What is it?

My hard wired smoke alarm has had a new 9 volt battery installed and even a second new one installed and is still chirping 4 times every 30 seconds.

On many of the newer smoke alarm installations, all of the units are wired together so that if one goes off, it triggers all of the others so that no matter where you are you will definitely hear the maddening noise of the alarms! And if one of the other units has a bad or weak battery not only will it chirp but so will the others.

Only way around this is to cut any and all wires going to each smoke detector. They will still work because each has its own battery but there will be no more triggering of other units.

Why is my 2001 Yukon making a chirping noise

I would check the freon level, because that would be the cheapest fix. If it's not the freon, it could be the AC compressor. If the compressor is locked up, it could make a screeching noise. As far as your brakes, I'd use some brake cleaner. Most likely (unless you've driven it tens of thousands of miles already) they are just dirty. Dust collects quickly on brakes. Hope this helps!

Gauges go crazy

battery terminals dirty (no maintenance on car?)
start at the head lights. they are hot all the time.
if the head lights fail , fix that first. (easier).
not sure what crazy means.

and 1st is to check all fuses, in cab and under hood.

Abs brakes chirping noise, when pedal depressed,

worn out brake pads and slightly warped rotors. Most brake pads have small steel tabs that touch the rotor at a 90 degree angle when it is time for replacement. if you keep driving on the worn pads, it will stop chirping but that just means the tabs (also called wear indicators) have broken off and repair is about to get very pricey.

I put in a new battery and the alarm remote does not work

Couple of times when you replace the remote battery, you might have them not working/ responding but just follow the procedure below.

Stand close to the car, hold down the open and close knobs for about 10 seconds. Press them at the same time for 3 seconds; then press the open button as the car opens.

The above procedure is applicable to a lot of car brands. It does not matter how many knobs you might have on the remote fob.

I have carried this procedure out on a lot of brands ranging from Honda, Toyota, Rover, Ford, etc. and it works perfectly well.

Good luck and Rate this.

Cheers

99 Chevy Malibu belt chirping noise problem.

one or more of the pulley's is defective, most likely the tensioner pulley, but check them all for wear and side to side movement which indicates a worn bearing, this causes the belt to not run true and chirp.
