Check the the fuel pressure at the shredder valve which sounds like you have found it next to the throttle body. There should be 60 to 65psi during prime and it should drop about 5 psi when the engine is running. Anything less then that the injector system will not work and you may need a new fuel pump, replacing the fuel pump will consist of dropping the fuel tank to get to the fuel pump and you can get the step by step instruction from Auto Zone to replace the fuel pump. Good luck my friend and note that putting fuel down the throttle body has been know for catching fire in the intake manifold causing the poppet injector valve to melt resulting in a new SEFI system = big $$$ to replace, also when replacing the fuel pump. Replace the wire harness from the frame to the fuel pump, there only $15.00 and you can sleep at night since they are also know to go bad after the pump has been replaced

I have a 1986 nissan pickup truck, with the z motor. 4 clyd. 8 plugs 4 intake 4 exhaust. when the truck starts it runs like its out of time but if you dont keep your foot on the gas it dies. You can smell...

I would suggest that you have a blown head-gasket. The Z24s have a tendency to blow the head-gasket between #3 & #4 cylinders. I would do a compression check. You will probably find low or no compression on those 2 cylinders.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER 2000 CHEVY BLAZER

Disconnect ground battery cable, lift car safely, using two metric wrenches loosen the hex nuts on one side slowly to relieve pressure and drain into a large pan. Finish removing the hex nut.

Slide out of holder if you can. On the other side is a 'quick clip' connector; these are tricky. Grasp the ears and squeeze tightley and while doing this push in the connector and then quickly pull it apart. It may take a few trys. Just use your fingers if you can try. Installing it is the reverse but much easier.

Check the fuel pressure regulator. generally "failure" position is full open which will richen up the fuel mixture. also check vacuum line to the regulator for cracks and good connection.

98 Jimmy 4WD clunk

It seems like no one else hear at FixYa is responding yet to both your requests about clunking in 4wd.
I see two requests....in the first a 2000 blazer from Gloeckz
there is a rapid clunking in 4wd!
In the second it clunks hard going in then won't drive!
This is rayenc11s' 98 Jimmy 4WD clunk I'm no trans specialist and not familiar with repairing or troubleshooting serious 4wd problems but it sounds like this may be a problem in the transfer case.

Since no one seems to be helping you but me I'd suggest you go to a transmission shop and ask them if this is a common problem that may lead to a bad transfer case if not corrected!

Make sure you have the proper fluid in your transmission case, transfer case and differential case first or have a quick oil change place check it for you!

Hope this is helpful.

Good Luck!
