Question about 1993 Toyota Camry V6

1 Answer

I have the same problem. Read left window does not open.

It started just a few weeks ago. 2006 rToyota Camry with less than 20,000 miles on it. Rear left window suddenly stopped opening (using either driver's control or read passenger control). How do we check the fuse for it. What options do we have. And why would this happen to a fairly new, very little used car which is supposed to be such a great car. I also just foun out yesterday that my friends who have a Toyota have the same problem with BOTH their rear windows!

It may be possible the rear windows are mearly stuck in the closed possition. If they are not used often they can actually stick to the weather stripping in the window frame & not allow it to go down. You can try to "bump the window with the heal of your hand a couple times while holding the window switch down. If this doesn't work you can also try "banging" the door frame. If you can hear something inside the door when you try to operate the window it is usualy the motor trying to open the window. You may need to try to close the window & then try to open the window again in order to hear anything. If you think this may be the case you can also close your hands on the top of the window(one on either side of the window, Inside & out side) and pull down with all the force you can while a friend operates the switch.
If it is not stuck... there is no separate fuse for each window. you will then likely have have a motor or switch issue how ever this is unlikely on the windows that are used the least.
Good luck, hope this helps
Farrout.

How often does a 2001 Camry LE V6 need an oil change?

ALL Vehicles have the same oil change requirement

You drive 20,000 miles a year div x 5 =every 4,000 miles

You drive 16,500 miles a year div x 4= every 4,125 miles

You drive 12,000 miles a year div x 3=every 4,000 miles

So every 10,13 or 17 weeks

3,4 or 5 times a year you change your oil

2000 toyota camry rear window

This isn't so much of a solution as it is an understanding. My rear passenger window just started doing the exact same thing a few weeks ago. I finally had to get black duct tape that matches the color of my car to keep it up. Sorry I couldn't help you more, but would love to find a solution myself.

VSC TRAC, TRAC OFF and CHECk ENGINE lights

You have to know what code is stored to fix the problem. Toyota's will generally display a Check Engine light, VSC and TRAC light all at the same time, even if it's a simple problem with an oxygen sensor (for example). You can disconnect the negative battery cable for a few minutes, even though you should a scan tool should be used, to clear out the code.

My Toyota Camry 2006, the rear left power window behind the driver's side, does not open. I tried to open it using both driver's control and the rear door control. Nothing works. I assume the motor is...

Simple things first, check the dedicated fuse for that window specifcally. if it's ok then check for ground and power at the regulator motor itself. If you have power and ground then it is the motor.

Most shimmies come from tire/wheel/balance combos. Before your dollars go down on 4 tires(assuming you have good tread), rotate tires & if there is a change you can figure out the offending unit
