most work like this turn the knob to the desired station , press the pre-select button and hold in until it is saved
then turn the knob to another station and hold in a different button until it is saved and so on until you have all of the stations on the pre-select buttons

SPARK PLUG GAP

Since about 1985 or so, almost all spark plugs are factory pre-set for the application.
That means, if you buy spark plugs new for a 1988 Chevrolet Caprice Classic 350 V-8 engine, they will come in the box pre-set to about .035, which is the proper gap. ( I do not have these numbers memorized).
About the only time you would change the factory setting is if you were racing or something, and if so, you'd not be asking this question.
God bless your efforts.

I need to set the clock on a CD/cassette radio in a 1999 Ford E 450...also how do I set preset stations too?

Station Pre Set:
You can save 4 pre sets on this radio (1-4) tune the radio to the station you want to save then PUSH and HOLD one of the pre set butons until the sound returns, the station is saved to that pre set. Repeat for the 3 presets.

Clock:
Hour: Push and hold the CLK button and at the same time push the SEEK button to adjust. < decrease hours > increase hours.
Minute: Push and hold the CLK button and at the same time push the TUNE button the adjust. < decrease minutes > increase minutes.

Pre ignition

pre ignition could mean it runs after you turn the key off that would be to high mechanical setting of the idle speed by changing the throttle plate factory setting if you did that to keep it idling turn it back down and find out what that problem is because the idle speed isto high. if this is not the issue, either the timing is incorrect or more than likely the computer is not compatable with this different engine.have fun.
