I have a 1986 Nissan Maxima ... I need to replace the flashier relay . I can not locate it ... I ordered a book but I need signals like soon ... Can anyone help a girl out ?

If it is the same as a Nissan Sentra, and Nissans were pretty standard, those two would be the accessory relay on the far left and the ignition relay next to it. The other two relays are the fuel pump relay and the ECCS relay (for the engine computer operation).

Does the engine still start and run? The ignition relay doesn't affect engine running. It's primary purpose is to power up that portion of the fuse block that the accessory relay does not cover, like the dash gauges and warning lights and turn signals, a few other too, I think..

the breaker is located in fuse box you can not reset you just replace them depending on what your problem for on checking it out

Go to the dealer with the vin number and they can make one there and then. They just look up vin number in a book and get a key code.

The combination flasher relay is located under the dash panel, next to the center console near the Automatic Speed Control Device (ACSD) control box. If the turn signals operate in only one direction, a bulb is probably burned out. If they do not operate in either direction, a bulb on each side may be burned out, or the flasher may be defective.



The flasher is located next to the ACSD control unit under the dash panel on the driver side of the vehicle

Definitely sounds like your "flasher relay" has failed and needs to be replaced.

its called a brake switch relay. It's there to compensate the load of multiple globes and if you use a trailer. you can replace that with an after market one like bosch or narva.

it on the side of the drivers side door by the door latch.
