97 Chevy Cavailer No A/C or Heat Air

I'm having some trouble with my 1997 Chevy Cavalier RS 2.2. When I start the car and either turn the A/C or heat on, no air comes out of the vents. There's a slight noise made like something it trying to work. Mostly sound like something opening and close in a way. I'm not sure what it could be. A/C and heat were working just yesterday. :(  I would like to fix this problem myself if possible.  I've done so much already to my car without much of a cost.

I've cleaned out the blower. Seems it may have been that the power cables weren't connected completely and came loose. With all the electric tape that was in the way. I can't remember which wire goes to what two connectors. I have an orange and purple wire for powering the blower motor.

When you changed the cylinder, you also changed the key, in the key is a chip the allows the antitheft to turn off and you need to reset the antitheft to the new key. A dealer job unfortunatly.

97 cavalier key won't turn

My daughter was told the same thing when her key wouldn't turn and was getting stuck in her 97 chevy cavalier. The used-car dealer suggested going to a Chevy dealer and getting a master key remade, not a copy of the key. We did for $16 and the new master key did the trick! It's as smooth using the key as in a new car. Try that first before any of the worst-case scenarios...

97 Cavailer won't crank HELP!!

my next step is to MANUALLY attempt to see if this engine will turn. Disconnect battery, remove starter completely which will expose the flywheel. With a HEAVY flat blade screwdriver partially inserted by a tooth in the flywheel, exert pressure in a pivot movement trying to move the flywheel . If it doesn't move the engine is seized.

1997 Chevy Cavailer Heat stoped working

Check your coolant level. If it is low and there is no obvious signs of a leak do a compression check on the engine (possible blown head gasket) or the fan / thermostat is not working properly.
