It would be cheaper to trade old engine. for rebuilt engine.because you got have a engine crane - engine stand - you going to need.different size wrenches.open and box in wrenches all metric.you need 3/8 to 1/2 ratchett set.you need 1/2 drill with engine hone.you need micrometer and telescope gauge set.you need feeler gauges.tap and dies.freeze plugs mover.piston ring expander and piston ring compressor.you have to take cylinder heads to machine shop to get hot tank and cleaned up valves has to refaced or replace.valve guides replace new valve springs - new valve seats- new valve seals and keeper. you also need torque wrench and repair manual.SEE YOU NEED A WHOLE LOT OF TOOLS TO OVER HAUL A ENGINE.ITS CHEAPER AND LESS HEAD ACHE IF YOU TRADE IN FOR A REBUILT.

Toyota highlander oil light on car dies?

sounds like a blown head gasket. you will need to place the motor with a used motor or tear it down and rebuild it. it would be cheaper to rebuild it yourself

1990 Honda Civic under 100,000 kms. Head gasket fixed 2008, again in 2009 and now we've been told it's going again....is this normal...or have we been duped by a bad repair shop twice?

unfortunately, even if it is a bad repair shop, it is normal. if the head gasket is blown, then oil and coolant, which are the two important fluids escape the engine quickly, causing damage to the whole motor. the best route to take would either have been rebuilding the motor, or getting a used one. like i said, the whole motor gets damaged, and even in trying to replace only the damaged parts, it is nearly impossible to get all of them without simply rebuilding the motor, so your best step would be a rebuild. i hope this helps. goodluck

Window motor drivers side 1994 gt mustang how to install

you will need to remove the door panel and then locate the window motor. Before you buy a new one check and see if there is a rebuild kit for these,90% of fords power window motors are rebuildable and the kit only costs $15.00 compared to $70.00.You will need a screw gun or drill to drill the poprivets out that hold the motor in place.the motor will drop out.

I need to rebuild my engine.

You're better off buying a 'crate' motor instead. Rebuilding an engine is seriously complicated, but dropping in a freshly rebuilt one is not that bad. You can also try the local junkyards, they often have complete engines for sale. The nice thing about crate motors is they usually come with a warranty, I doubt a junkyard motor would.

CAnt get front interior overhead lights in cabin to come on.

Check the dashboard dimmer dial next to the headlight switch. Sometimes if it's dialed all the way down, you'll have no interior lights. Try turning the dial up to just before the detent if you want them to go out when the doors are closed. If you want them on all the time, push it past the detent on the dimmer. Let me know if that works..

well if you know it has a blown cylinder they you need to rebuild the motor and that cant be explained over the internet. the easier thing to do is to buy a used motor and replace the whole thing. those motors and small and cheap. you will waste more time rebuilding the motor that you would just getting a cheap used one and replacing it.
