I had a similar issue. Not on my Montero, but on my Mitsubishi Expo. Turned out that my steel belts in my tires had slipped or twisted. I put new tires on and problem was solved.

1999 chevy silverado. When braking truck start to vibrate. Changed front and rear rotors and brake pads. Just bought new tires.

I know on my Malibu the pads for the side against the caliper piston is different than the pad on the other side of the rotor.

Grinding sound under the car when releasing brake pedal

If you haven't already, feel your disc rotors and see if they feel rough where the pad makes contact. Your rotors may be worn beyond factory specifications, your pads may be worn and need to be replaced, or you may have a problem with your calipers. If you aren't familiar with working on disc brakes, take the car in for brake repairs.

Disk brakes are automatically self adjusting. If you have too much travel in the pedal, bleed the brakes. Let us know if you need the procedure.

Abs brakes chirping noise, when pedal depressed,

worn out brake pads and slightly warped rotors. Most brake pads have small steel tabs that touch the rotor at a 90 degree angle when it is time for replacement. if you keep driving on the worn pads, it will stop chirping but that just means the tabs (also called wear indicators) have broken off and repair is about to get very pricey.

My brakes squeak in my toyota camry. How do I get

I am assuming you already changed the brake pads. Make sure that the backing plate is on the backside of the pads it wouldnt hurt to put some disc brake quiet (spray) on the backside of the pads. also make sure all of your caliper shims are in place and not rubbing on the rotor. Make sure rotors have been resurfaced or replaced if they are too thin. any imperfections will cause vibration which will cause noise. Some cheap brake pads will squeek no matter what you do. in this case I recomend ceramic brake pads the best price I have found is at pep boys this type of brake pad is superior and very quiet, stays cooler, less brake dust on rims and much better braking. I use pep boys ceramic pads on my customers cars and have had no complaints from them. where with cheaper quality pads it is hit and miss that is why i tell my customers up front if they want the cheaper pads they should expect some noise from time to time and not to be alarmed. It doesnt mean anything is wrong just too much vibration and heat while braking

Changed the front brakes on my 2005 Grand Caravan and now there's clicking and serious vibration at speeds above 40mph. Also, I need to bleed the brakes, b/c the brake pedal doesn't respond normally, and I...

sounds like the pads were either installed wrong or your forgot the have the rotors ground down. grinding down the rotors would have taken out any extra vibration. if the rotors arent ground flat, the pads will cause vibration as they seat against the uneven surface of the rotors. the clicking indicates that the brake calipher was not secured and is hitting the wheel when the brakes are applied. PLEASE Get a Manual from chiltons or haynes for your car they will help you change your pads and rotors more efficently.

it is easy to change even you can change it your just going to take off the front wheel then you will see the break panel there's a bolt holding the break pad loose it so can pull the break pad out... or more or less even a driveway mechanic can do this for less cost...
