Question about 1997 Volkswagen Jetta
Does any one know how to fix it
I have a 1998 Jetta GLX that was "locked out" from starting and I assumed from the alarm system since we did some work without disconnecting the battery. I heard somewhere to turn the key in the trunk lock to the left for 10 seconds. It started right up after that. Hope it works for you!

Imobiliser most likely cause get it tested
alarms & mobilisers are not a good combination as you can have them in conflict with each other!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
