Its just a glitch that can happen. Its a computer that goes in and alters what your output shaft sensor is telling the gauges. They can glitch at times just like a videogame. If it keeps acting up more frequently then I would have them replace the module.

Can I change my tires to a 265 R16 size, the actual original size of my GMC 2500 Sierra HD tires are 245 R16. My pick up have 6.6 diesel engine with an allison 6 speed transmition, and 2 x 4 configuration.

1st number is tread width (mm)265
r =speed rating
2nd is wheel size, in inches 16
the rule of thumb re tread width, is the tread should not exceed the inner wheel width,measured inside the wheel/tyre sealing area by more then 20mm.
otherwise car will tend to sway when steered for moose test.so check your wheels first...
r rating only good upto 100 mph intermitently...

2005 gmc 2500 hd needs front rotors at 23,000 miles cause there're rusted out. How do you change?

Its not uncommon for rust to accumulate on rotors. Normally rotors are good for 50,000 miles or more. If they're not warped or severly grooved, the rust won't hurts them.

Discount tire has a website for different tire sizes and how the sizes affect the speedometer reading. I changed my tires from a 60 to a 65 series and gained about 5% better mileage. Basically my speedo shows 70 and I am doing 74. So I get 4 free miles every 70 miles on the odometer. Too much change will rob you of power.

I have an '08 2500 w/ Duramax. My dash diagnostic LED said "change exhaust filter" then "se owners manual" and the engine light came on. There's no info for changing and exhaust filter...

The 08 diesel vehicles have a particulate filter much like a catalytic converter an a gas engine, these exhaust cannot be modified by removing the filter . The PCM will monitor this function and alert you with a service engine light if an issue is detected . Removing this filter will also cause the vehicle to go into a low power mode until the problem is repaired . It is also illegal to remove this filter as it part of your emission system for that vehicle . I don't think your programmer and intake would cause you any issues.
