Will a 4.3 motor from 2009 work or run in a 2002 GMC truck?

It IS a different engine. GM used the L35 version of the engine in 2002. This engine had a distributor-type ignition and SCPI fuel injection. The 2009 model is a LU3 version of the engine. It has a distributorless ignition system and uses MPFI fuel injection. This may cause issues since the newer engine block will be using a cam sensor rather than the pickup coil in the distributor. Also, the computer would need reprogramming for the new fuel injection system, as well as possible fuel line mods. However, if the basic block and heads are the same (or close enough), you may be able to wrangle a Rube Goldberg if you can swap all the add-ons (manifolds and fuel system), brackets and such, it MIGHT work. You'd need to do a real close visual to ensure all parts will cross over though.

Continued problems - is it a misfire

If replacing the coil-pack helped, it might well be something else in the HT-ignition system which is a bit off. Have a look at the condition of the plugs, plug leads & distributor & the wiring to the electronic ignition pack.
Best of luck.

Where is the ignition module in a 99 voyager

Hi Eric:
Also called Ignition Coil, is located at the back of the intake manifold...

2_11_2012_12_07_40_pm.jpg

Fig.: remove the 2 lower ignition coil mounting bracket bolts...

2_11_2012_12_08_55_pm.jpg

Fig.: then remove the ignition coil and mounting bracket together from the engine.

Disengage the wiring harness connector from the ignition coil.
Disconnect the ignition wire from the coil.
Remove the coil mounting bracket bolts, then remove the coil and mounting bracket assembly from the vehicle.
The ignition coil can be separated from the mounting bracket.

To install:

If separated, loosely mount the ignition coil to the mounting bracket.
Loosely install the coil and mounting bracket assembly to the intake manifold. Tighten the coil mounting bracket-to-intake manifold bolts to 115 inch lbs. (13 Nm) and the ignition coil-to-mounting bracket fasteners to 96 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
Connect the ignition wire to the coil.
Engage the wiring harness connector to the ignition coil.
If removed, install the windshield wiper/motor module assembly.
Connect the negative battery cable.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

I think the P0107 is the root cause of the problem.
P0300 is a random engine misfire on all cylinders.

Possible causes - Faulty spark plug (s)
- Faulty ignition coil (s)
- Ignition coils harness is open or shorted
- Ignition coils poor electrical connection
- Clogged or faulty fuel injectors
- Injectors harness is open or shorted
- Injectors poor electrical connection
- Improper spark plugs
- Insufficient cylinders compression
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Intake air leak
P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input.
Possible causes - Manifold Absolute Pressure harness is open or shorted
- Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor poor electrical circuit connector
- Faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor
- Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Engine Control Module

Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PVC) Valve Removal & Installation 5.7L Engine To Remove:
1.The PCV valve is mounted into the top/right side of the intake manifold.

2.The PCV valve is sealed to the intake manifold with two O-rings.

3.Free the PCV valve by rotating counter-clockwise 90 degrees until the locating tabs align with the openings on the manifold.

4.Remove the PCV valve by pulling straight up from intake manifold and clearing the tabs.

5.Check the condition of two valve O-rings.
To Install:
  1. Clean the PCV valve opening on the intake manifold.
  2. Inspect the PCV valve O-rings. Replace if suspect.
  3. Apply engine oil to the two O-rings.
  4. Place the PCV valve into intake manifold.
  5. Rotate the valve 90 degrees clockwise for installation.
