It is hydraulic and has no adjustment, it self adjusts as the disk wears out. If the pedal is high up when it engages the clutch and harder to push than before you need a new clutch.

SOURCE: 2001 Toyota Celica GTS Clutch

i paid a friend to do it because it's a lot of work! if you haven't already treid to or got it done just know that when my friend did it; it took him like 8 hours (he'd never done one on a celica, but had done them on american cars) so if your not familiar with it... not a good idea to do alone. I watched him do most, but i'm not the best to talk to about it.(plus i have a 2000GT) Some of the parts that i can remember that he took out to get to the clutch were the front driver's side tire, the axel on the same side, ....some other parts in there....and ALSO parts on top...the intake also had to be taken out just to have enough room to do the job. parts are cheap...just ask for a clutch kit at auto zone or whatever. around $150. another random tid bit that might help is make sure to tighten the engine mounts really good afterwards or else it will jump around in there when you turn it on and cut it off. buy gear oil before you start as well because you will need to put some in after the new clutch is in. i will need to put the car on a real lift... you need a lot of space underneath and on top to work. and most likely two people. well hope some of this helped.

SOURCE: 2002 toyota celica power door lock problem

Are you hearing any noises from the pass door when you activate the lock switch? If not, the power door lock solenoid has failed, and prob needs to be replaced. Pull the door panel & check to see if it is getting power to the solenoid in lock & unlock. If it has power, the solenoid is def bad.

SOURCE: Hydraulic clutch grinding from 1st to 2nd - Toyota 1985 Pickup

Yes, your clutch might be worn and/or out of adjustment or the trans is worn. Your clutch may be fine also. Toyota's have a problem with there shifter bushings and seats. They brake and crack also causing shifting problems. And some times only one gear depending on the condition. If yours is broken, crack or damaged, you can find the parts from Toyota and there a whole lot cheaper than a clutch. Also I recommend adjusting the clutch if possible. Not all are adjustable. Check your clutch fluid.

SOURCE: DOES A 96 TOYOTA TACOMA CLUTCH HAVE AN ADJUSTMENT

it is a self adjusting hydraulic clutch, if the clutch is engaging high on the pedal the clutch is worn out.

2002 toyota celica clutch is there an adjustment or is it hydraulic?it also smells like burning clutch?

its a hydraulic clutch. the burning smell could be a sign that the fluid in the master cylinder is low and there isn't enough pressure being applied to the flywheel, causing the clutch to slip. if the clutch disengages at near the end of the pedals "throw", as you disengage the pedal, than its a sign your clutch plate needs to be replaced. but to me it just sounds like a hydraulic pressure issue.

Ive got ford mondeo tdci 54 plate.. ive just had the dual mass flywheel replaced but now the clutch is playing up it goes stiff and wont go into gear, could this be it needs clutch fluid??

Angela, I'll be honest I'm confused. It shows "problem with Toytoa Celica" but you mention a Ford Mondeo in your post. Just to be sure we're talking about a Ford Mondeo that had the flywheel replaced, correct? Chances are if they replaced the flywheel you normally would always replace the clutch disk with it. If this is a hydraulic clutch system you don't typically have to open the hydraulic system to swap out the flywheel and clutch on a car. This would lead me to believe clutch fluid isn't your answer, but I would at least make sure you check it. If they DID have to open the system the clutch needs to have the air bled out of the hydraulic lines.

The clutch in my 1998 Toyota celica has been slipping lately and I need to replace it. I was wondering if the clutch is hydraulic and what kind of tools I would need to replace it.

Most Toyota cars are hydraulic. To be sure you should see a fluid reservoir at the driver's side near the brake master. For getting the clutch out you need your set of wrenches, cross wrench to remove the wheels, jack and replacement parts.

TRUCLKINGCLUTCH IS SLIPPING IS THERE SOMEWHERE TO ADJUST OR ADD FLUID

The clutch is hydraulic, so there will be a bleeder screw on the line, but bleeding it will not have much impact if any. The reason is that the hydraulic system keeps pressure on the clutch, so you will be better off by replacing the clutch.

My clutch is slipping on my 1993 toyota truck. Are there adjustments I can make myself. I am fairly handy, but not a car repair expert.

Sorry, there are no adjustments on your vehicle., The clutch is activated via hydraulic pressure. The master and slave cylinders are "self-adjusting". If the clutch is slipping, you are going to need to pull the trans and replace the clutch assembly. Changing the hydraulics will not help a slipping clutch at all.

Trying to figure out how to adjust the clutch on a 2005 Toyota Corolla style s

You car does not have an "adjustable" clutch. The Corolla uses a hydraulic clutch. The action of the hydraulics eliminates the need for adjustements. If the clutch is slipping, you may need to replace the clutch.

Fixing a clutch that suddenly stopped disengaging properly.

that is a hydraulic clutch and when they go out they dont always give warning. but it could be a leak in the line or just low on fluid and needs bled.
