Question edited for three uses of the word 'booth', changed to 'boot. As it is a Mondeo, I presume you are in the UK?
Look for a button in the glove compartment that is a child lock and stops the boot being opened from inside the vehicle. The fuse box doesn't show fuses or relays for it. Sometimes there is a slide switch on the inner side of the lock.
firstly check the bulbs ,some bulbs are a single filement with one contact and some are two filement with two contacts so check the bigger bulbs in the back light assembly ,then in the fuse panel is a fuse for the left side and one for the right side and they are a 7.5 amp fuse which is red ,so before you touch the fuses make sure you have the right type of bulb fitted in the back light that isnt working ,
