After my truck warms up it has a dead spot in my pedal what causes this ?

My best guess with out you pulling the codes would be that you either have a vacuum leak, your EGR valve is malfunctioning or your TPS may be sending a weak signal. Hope this points you in the right direction.

940 volvo hesates and builds up gas when first press accelerator

What do you mean by builds up gas? Is this with the engine cold or warm? Does it happen every time you press the gas pedal or just sometimes?

It is most likely the catalytic convertor stopped up. Have a auto shop verify.
