Question about 1992 Plymouth Grand Voyager

No fuel is getting to the filter is there a relay that could have gone bad? or what is the best way to check the fuel pump without drtopping the tank

You need to check the relay for the fuel pump, if the fuel pump is not running. It should be located under the hood on driver's side, rear of the headlight, mounted on the inner fender well. It can be checked using an ohm meter or multimeter. If the relay is good, it is most likely the pump. Sure hope this helps you and good luck.

Not getting pulses to fuel injectors

Fuel filter stopped up, fuel pump relay needs to be checked and replaced or fuel pump itself is bad. Have some get down on their knees at the side of your car and turn on the ignition switch, can you should be able to hear the pump pulse in the tank, if not replace relay and filter first. Pump is inside tank.

It starts when I used fuel starting spray, then it quit when the starting fuel is gone.

Bad Fuse,pump relay,Fuel filter,weak fuel pump,pluged fuel filter in the tank.bad pressure regulator,check to see if the pump runs in the should here it run while you crank the engine. if you can then check the should be open,not restricted.then check fuel pressure,at the fuel rail,with a guage 36 to 40psi is normal. Any less pressure will give poor performance.Check to see if the pressure regulator is or has ben leaking gas into the vacumn line to the intake manifold,if you can see smell,or detect any raw gas i would suspect a faulty pressure regulator.And it may be returning the fuel pressure back to the tank instead of controlling the fuel pressure to run the engine.

Car not starting, no fuel getting into engine

Start with checking your fuel pump and injector mini relay. Fuel pump relay is #18 and injectors is #48 and is located in the fuse box under the engine hood.
Also inspect your ECM fuse, the fuel pump get's it power from the ECM fuse and at wost. It's your fuel pump that has gone bad and that is located in the gas tank, but make sure your fuel filter is not to dirty causing fuel restriction and replacing that will address that issue.

Electric fuel pump comes and goes. Has left me down a few times. Seems like my problem may be electrical. Looking for some trouble shooting answers before dropping the tank or pulling off the bed. HELP!!!

There are a couple of things that can be happening here. One is that your pump is failing. Often the pump will work ok for a while but then loose pressure as the fuel in the tank warms up. The second is that the internal connector located on the bottom side of the fuel pump/sender support unit could be bad. Look for a dark brown or blackened terminal where the harness from the fuel pump attaches to the connector that is part of the support. If you see ANY discoloration at this connector then replace the support, Don't try to clean or fix the connection as it will fail again withing a matter of days. Also if the connector is bad replace the pump too as it is being starved for current which shortens their life considerably.

Fuel not getting to intake

check to verify there's fuel pressure at fuel pump, always check for blown fuses first. if the fuel pressure is not present at the fuel rail then the pump is bad, providing that all fuses are good.

Your fuel filter may need to be replaced or your fuel pump has gone bad and will need to be replaced. Check all your fuses and the fuel pump relay, if that all checks out good, then it's going to be a dirty fuel filter and or bad fuel pump and that is located in the gas tank. Good luck and hope it's a simple fix like a dirty fuel filter.

Not getting gas from the tank to the engine

Then either the fuel pump has failed, fuel filter is clogged, fuel pump relay is bad, or the fuel pump fuse is blown. Sit in the car in a very quite area or with someone listening at the fuel fill area with the cap removed and turn on the ignition without starting the engine. The fuel pump should come on for a few seconds and then shut down. If it does not then check the fuse and the relay. If it comes on then you know the fuse and relay are good. Replace the fuel filter. If that does not help more than likely the fuel pump is bad and needs replacing. The pump can run and still not be pumping any fuel. A fuel pressure test will verify if the pump is for sure bad. You have an 11 year old vehicle so it would not be uncommon for the pump to go bad especially if the filter has been neglected. A partially clogged fuel filter will destroy an otherwise good fuel pump. You will have to remove the fuel tank in order to replace the fuel pump. Use a hand pump to remove as much fuel as possible from the tank as gasoline weighs around 8 lbs per gallon. The less weight the better. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

92 XJ6 Fuel pump/filter

hi sometimes on most cars if lift up the back seat ther usually the pump unit on the top of the tank with two pipes coming out of it .if ypu can find the relay for the fuel pump connect the terminals 30 to 87 together you should hear the fuel pump run.alternitavely check the power to the fuel pump with a multimeter you should get 12 volt when trying to start also check for broken wirig to pump.
