Hello,I am Ron.I will try to shed some light on the problem. It is possible you are just low on freon,it needs to be checked with ac gauges to make sure, just adding freon will just cause more problems if it has enough already. The other cause could be a vent door actuator motor not working>This is something to checkout with a process of elimination ,If I can Help any further let me know.roniecon@gmail.com

Check the vent plumbing under the dash with the fan on high. Just run your hand along the tubes and feel for moving air.

My 02 Century has dual temp controls . One for driver for passenger. Make sure you don't have the dual climate enabled and just set for heat on your side and AC on the passengers

Hot and Cold air from vents in 2001 Olds Aurora

The Aurora has dual-zone heating & cooling. Sounds like either the sensor or control know on the car is disconnected or not working. The passenger control is the knob on the passenger door. The sensor for it is under the glove box. I believe you need to remove the glove box hinge to see it. Could be the wires came loose or the sensor is bad. If anyone was working in either of these areas, maybe they forgot to reconnect one of them.

The ac blows hot air in the front and cold air in the back

Either the door that controls whether air from the heater or ac is stuck in between or the ac system is having trouble. Minivans sometimes have seperate compressors for the rear and front.

My AC in my 95 aurora blows out hot air. one side of the ac lines stays cold and the outher side stays hot

Try either having it recharged by a pro or I believe you can go to auto zone and by the ac recharge in a can. I f that doesn't work it could be the trinary switch.

It is probably the air mix door actuator if you have the auto climate control. This actuator controls the mixture of hot and cold between driver and passenger just after the heater core. Assuming there is not a computer control problem or a short replacing this part will fix your problem
