Question about 2000 Chevrolet Malibu

A/c in car is not blowing out air!

I have a 2000 Chevy Malibu!!! Currently, it is not blowing out ANY air. Every once in a while when I start my car, air will come out for about 5 seconds. And when I say every once in a while, I'm talking once every other week!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Check your blower fan. Its located under the passenger side dashboard. I think there is a total of six screws to remove. The fan tends to vibrate loose and catches on the side of the enclosure. Also the fans have a tendency to go out. I had the same exact problem. I found out if you kick right under the glove box it tends to get it going again. And sell the car as soon as possible.

If the fan is working and not allowing air to flow, then you have a vacuum leak to the vent controller. If fan does not work, then check ground wire to the fan motor.

Fuse panel location and diagram 2000 chevy malibu


if the car is built like monte carlo for 2000 there are 2 fuse panels inside. one on the driver side when you open door and theres one the passenger side when you open the door there are panels on both sides of the dash that pull off. and then of course there are the fuse blocks under the hood. by the battery.

2004 MALIBU MAXX A/C BLOWS HOT AIR


Could be several things. The fuse relay to the AC compressor could be bad. The system may need to be recharged due to lack of refrigerant the compressor will not work unless it has enough.
