Question about 2000 Ford Mustang
The top had been very slow going back up for the past few weeks, but then suddenly wouldn't go up at all.
The only way to get it back up is to have someone push it manually while I hold the button on the dash. Dealership says it needs a new motor to the tune of $950!
Just 17,000 miles on the car and of course it is JUST out of warranty. Any suggestions?
Mine did the same thing and tightening the hydraulic bleed screen fixed the problem. The hydrualic bleed screen is accessable from the trunk and is located under the shelf near the back window. The purpose of this screw is to allow you to raise the top if the motor fails or the battery is dead.
