Question about 1999 Dodge Durango
How do I replace the crankshaft sensor on my 1999 durango?
No you dont have to remove the transmission it on the passenger side under a bracket at the corner of the tranny. if you remove the backet you have easy access. i changed mine in thirty minutes.

SOURCE: crankshaft sensor 1999 Durango
what engine?if it's a 5.2 l V8,you could remove right inner fender shield for easier access..i would not remove trans..if you remove trans and then install sensor to engine, you could break it reinstalling trans..if it's a 4.7..sensor is in block..these can be really tough to get out..rust forms behind sensor and it will not come out..most times these come out in pieces
