rtm read the manual. its all there, just read. no need to ask other to read for you..
jeep books are great.
10x better post symptoms then ask how to diagnose real symptoms.
we can take you to the exact point of failure.
post all things on car that work and do not.
the total picture tells whats up./
i promise..
like this.
all things work.
car drives ok
4 head lamp bulbs, only one is dead.
like that.
or all 4 dead.
or only both lows.
is car with DLR lighting options.
in canada DLR is law there, are you there.
we can not guess, all this that you fail to say.
DLR is Daylight runninglites laws. and hardware. in car. that loves to fail.
first off the system is not like in 1993
with old skool electric, you know, 1 fuse.
1 switch and a light.
not at all , enter the age of electronic computers controls
NON DRL USA CARS. example.
the HL lamp switch is now a digital device.
it does not pass, full lamp current now.
its just a logical switch (uses resistor logic)
this switch tells the BCM brain via a real NETWORK the drivers wishes.
that means scan the PCM see if there are bus errors.suspected,
Then the BCM closes a low beam or HI beam relay
the relay closes, say lows.
and both lamps glow.
the lamps are grounded. to body.
the 4 bulbs have 4 fuses on this year car
the fuses are all in the JB, the JB means cab fuse box. (in pure english)
they are.
F14,15,16 and 3.
all 4 are 10amp rated.
if the fuses are not blown, id have tested all fuses, and not posted for this.
or looked it up in mitchells or the free book above,
if the fuses are good the PCM MUST BE SCANNED
you cant fix modern cars, lacking such a tool
or go broke fast. a hard and fast fact.
