Question about 1993 Nissan Pickup

1993 Nissan King Cab pickup won't start on hot days

On hot days, you have to turn the ignition switch several times (sometimes up to 50) before the vehicle will start. There is a click each time, but you have to just keep turning the key until it finally catches. Manual tranny, have to have clutch in to start. Never have this problem in winter.

SINCE YOUR PROBLEM IS MOST COMMON WHEN THE WEATHER IS HOT ,IT APPEARS THAT THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE YOUR SOLENOID.REMEMBER ELECTRICAL WIRES ARE BETTER CONDUCTORS WHEN COOL .SO AS THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE GETS HOTTER THE WIRES ABILITY TO CONDUCT CURRENT DROPS OF .SOLENOID INSULATION MIGHT BE BREAKING DOWN AND CAUSING A DROP IN CURRENT THERE BY INHIBITING THE STARTER FROM TURNING . IF NOT CHECK YOUR STARTER MOTOR .EG BRUSHES,AMATURE AND FIELD COILS .

I have a 93' pathfinder of my own, but mine just has no spark, and o know that's the ognition swith is bad as well, I tested the coil from the power out of the battery directly and it shocked me from the other end so it's not that. I think it might not be getting any power, could it be a relay or the ignition switch???? Please help!

I have '95 Nissan pickup and just went through battery and starter replacement to find out it was the ignition switch. Fortunately accessing it is super easy with the removal of about 8 screws and no steering wheel removal needed. To know if it really is the switch, depress the clutch and turn the key to start position and then lightly tap the switch (tube shaped on top of steering column). For me, my car immediately starts but I look like a **** driving like that.

97 nissan king cab running poor rough idle it surges/stumbles about every 15 to 20 second

I would start with the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. The IAC valve usually, USUALLY, trips the Check Engine Light, but, sometimes may not.

Aside from that, it could be other issues: spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor components/assembly, etc.

BTW, is the Check Engine Light on?

I'm not sure if your talking about the ignition switch or not(where the key goes to start it), but I can tell you that there is no airbags on a 1995 Nissan Pickup. If you need anymore help please let me know.

I had the same thing happen in my 1985 Nissan Pickup. It would just cut off. It was the fuel pump regulator switch on my vehicle. About a $50 item from autozone.

Sometimes it runs ok,then every now and then it stutters and sometimes there is no fuel getting through, its a nissan micra 1993 model

My 93 nissan truck had a similar problem with stuttering that was fixed by replacing the fuel pump. Hitting a bump or even slamming the tailgate would cause it to start.
