Well that depends on what engine you have in your vehicle, if you have a 4.3l then its the bolt on the drain pan next to the oil filter. Drivers side i believe.

But otherwise it will always be the lowest bolt on the drain pan of the engine. (make sure its the pan connected to the engine and not the transmission as i have seen the transmission pans with a drain plug as well)

It's a 14 or 15 mm... been a while since i've done one.

How to change automatic transmission filter of 2001 Golf

You need to remove the sump pan off the gearbox but what looks like a drain plug on the sump is actually a gearbox filler level tube. You may also find a drain plug on the torque converter. Remove the sump pan and you will find the filter screwed to the bottom of the valve body The problem you will face is filling the gearbox oil to achieve the correct level a computer is needed to measure gearbox oil temperature. With the gearbox oil at 30 centigrade you need one drip out of the filler level every 10 seconds.

Could be a bad mass air flow sensor or idle air control solenoid problem. Both can be taken apart and cleaned with brake pad cleaner, carb cleaner or MAF cleaner before you think of replacing them.

What type transmision does my 2001 Deisel Ford Excursion have?

It should say right on the dipstick, it's probably Mercon III, or Dexron III. I recommend using Amsoil Synthetic ATF or at least Mercon V especially if you are towing or hauling a lot. I've worked for a construction company for over 20 years, they started using Amsoil ATF about 10 years ago in all the Fords and the transmission problems went away. It expensive oil but, so are trany jobs. We have trucks with over 300,000 miles that have never had trany problems. These are F-350's fully loaded all the time some are diesel but most have the V-10. Also, there's a rubber plug on the bottom of the bellhousing if you take that plug out and turn the engine you might find a plug to drain the torque converter too. Use a socket wrench on the crankshaft pulley bolt to turn the engine by hand. I say might because Ford quit puting the plugs on the converters in about 2001. If you drain it down completely it will hold about 15 quarts. Good luck.

Un screwed balck and grey oil

Ouch. If it is in fact the engine oil you drained, it sounds like you have coolant mixed into the oil. That usually means a head gasket problem. Not good.

Have you been losing coolant?
