SOURCE: 1997 Dodge caravan crank position sensor
it is located on the bellhousing of the transmission it gets its signal from the flywheel.look where the transmission bolts to the engine.
SOURCE: transmission input speed sensor location
It is located on the front of the transmission. you will see 2 of them one on the left under small transmission lines it is the input then to the right behind the radiator overflow there is the other one. Easiest way to change them is with a 1" deep well socket
SOURCE: i have a 1996 dodge caravan with the 3 speed
A 3 SPD TRANS DOES NOT HAVE INPUT/OUTPUT SENSORS..ONLY A VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR..IT IS LOCATED ON TRANS EXTENSION HOUSING WHERE RIGHT SIDE AXLE COMES OUT OF TRANS..1 BOLT AND A WIRE CONNECTOR
SOURCE: WHERE ARE THE VEHICLE SPEED SENSORS LOCATED ON A
Both front wheel hub assembly would have those sensor they are also used for the abs. I am not sure on that year of caravans would have some on the rear wheel hub assembly also.

Theres 2 they are on top of the trans. The input is closest to the engine, below the trans lines going into the trans. The output is to the right of the lines about foot still on top. 1 inch deep well socket need to remove. 20 lbs torque. Make sure to use new o-ring
