Its most likely coming out of pipe fuel injection burns alot hotter and more efficient than carburetion, you wont see as easily unless someone is behind you on road! Most likely its coming from valve stem seals-sucking into combustion chamber, more ideas worn rings, plugged pcv valve(check valve for free operation-easy cheap fix can consume oil),you can perform compression test to see if could be rings-(valve stem seals wont show on test if rig has over 100,000 miles they get brittle and crack allowing oil to **** into combustion chamber(they very inexpensive but labor intensive to change, i always buy best one money can buy),anyhow hear is some ideas i hope that they help!!! :)

In the morning when you start your car check for smoke it is possible that the valve seals are cracked and it is leaking overnight

White smoke coming out of tail pipe.

WHITE smoke? Or BLUE smoke? White smoke is usually caused by burning antifreeze (possible blown head gasket). Engine oil burning causes a bluish colored smoke.

Changing the oil two months ago means absolutely nothing to me. I have customers that travel 6000 miles or more in a month. Oil consumption is measured in volume over miles, not volume over months. It is normal for most 4 cylinder engines to use a little less than 1/2 quart in 1000 miles (even more than that for 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder engines).

Van used 2.5 quarts of oil in 1200miles no sign of oil burning or blue smoke at tail pipe. oil light comes on frequently 2004 dodge caravan

If there is no sign of oil consumption, then you have a leak some where. Un-noticed leaks are usually found at the rear main seal and leak as you are driving. If you crawl under the vehicle and closely inspect the area where the engine block meets the transmission you may find evidence of an oil leak.

I have oil leaking out my tail pipes

are you sure it is oil because if it was using that much oil to be running out of the tail pipe it would be smoking so bad

Constant smoke from tail pipe.

If its smoking that bad you should be able to tell if its oil or antifreeze by the smell, stand behind the car as its running, if its white and you smell a sweet smell its antifreeze if its blue and smells like a oil refinery its oil.

My 1999 dodge ram begin to smoke really bad

If your talking about white smoke out the tail pipe, U have a blown head gasket. That's where antifreeze is getting into the oil. U need to get it to shop if this is the case.

Hope this helps

Hi, I have primera., i check the engine oil, and it's too low so i bought 4 ltrs of castrol engine oil and put all of them in the engine., and after driving the car for abt 3 miles smoke came from the tail...

If you low oil light is not illuminated it is ok to drive to the dealer. Putting 4 quarts in might have overfilled it leaving it to leak overboard on engine. You did not say that the smoke was coming from the tail pipe.
