My 2002 daewoo has no spark? - Daewoo Cars & Trucks

Coils can short only due to short in the wires, Spark plug or Ignition Module. Please read this article for better understanding the Coil issue.

To be damaging your coil packs so regular you have a spark load problem, this can be caused by bad coil leads, incorrect spark gaps or even a bad earth

For the 2002 Daewoo Lanos:
Includes ALL Models:

replace crankshaft senor, its bad, faulty. Check your O2 sensor. change fuel fuel filter and spark plugs and wires with new ones.

Try the spark plug wires, it sounds like you aren't getting a good spark. The distributor cap could also need cleaning or replaced. - David (you know me :-) )

however if there is no spark to a plug the engine may not start

there are other scenarios also

check for spark in each plug wire and then each plug

check to see if your timing belt is broken. there should be an access hole usually a rubber cap that you can remove to see it. if there is no access hole remove the screws of the timing belt cover and open it enough to see the belt without breaking the cover. If the belt looks ok be sure there is enough tension so that it is not skipping over the camshaft pulley.
check your ignition components for dampness or to see if they are faulty (spark plugs, wires and ignition module and coil packs).
