Question about 2003 Ford Expedition

Interior clicking noise

I have a clicking noise when my expedition is turned on. It is coming from the right rear interior of the truck. I found under the rear cupholder that there are components and if I unplug that component the clicking stop. What is that component?

Its the rear a/c heater actuator door. The plastic door is wedged or broken. Have it replaced. Hopefully this helps

I have a 2003 Kia Sorento and have a clicking noise coming from the rear passenger wheel area when driving. Could that be the rear end going out?

This noise could be a Joing going out... If this car is a 4x4 then they have a CV joint on the rear to.... If not it could be a rear bearing.... I also something very minor.... If you have plastic hub caps on the rear please take them off then go for a drive to see if the noise continues... This dose sometimes help.... The aftermarket ones can make a noise as i have seen it happen offten

I have a 2004 ford explorer. I recently back into a pole and now there is a loud clicking noise coming from the rear left side

you have a fuel interuptor or fuel cut off switch best way to locate the switch is to have someone turn the switch on and off with the back hstch open whilr keys turned off and on. there are 2 panels on left and right at the inside of truck, detect where the click comes from when keys turned off and on. simply push in on the red button under the panel. either left or right. remove both panels at rear gate to determine where the clicking is coming from.push the red erset button and truck should start.

I have a 2003 Ford expedition Eddie bauer. Seat in third row stuck down and there's a constant clicking noise in right rear panel. I know my cuz took motor out. Can I bring seat back up without...

The clicking noise sounds like your blend door actuator. Try turning your AC/Heat OFF and see if it stops (give it a minute to travel in position). The actuator is a common failure in the Expys, costs about $50 to replace. You will have to remove the right rear panel to replace it - a few screws and a couple of bolts (where the seat belt attaches).
As for the seat not working, not sure about this. I would make sure the wiring harness is hooked up and the fuse is not blown. See your owners manual for fuse location.

Fords systems will still blow air even when off. does the clicking get quieter wehn off?

also, you can get it to stop blowing by turning on the recirculator. its a button with a car on it and a u-shapped arrow on the ac controls in dash. IF it stops then then something is in the housing and the fan is hitting it.

My expedition is making a clicking sound from the area of the right rear wheel well. sounds like a solenoid switch clicking on and off. noise stops when making a left turn

Do you have air suspension? If so, it could be a relay clicking. Otherwise I would recommend having a chassis lube job done on axle and bearings. Also make sure tire is not rubbing on strut/shock tower. Some of these have a plastic guard on the shock/strut tower that like to vibrate as well.
