FIRST why are you requesting this style of by-pass -is shift cable broken --not disengaging -- you can put vehicle in drive by disconnecting the transmission select cable but if you do so vehicle should not start in drive and if your by yourself and are trying to do this you really cant

SOURCE: 2003 pontiac montana leaks condensate water in the drivers floor

Bet the drain is clogged with leaves. Look under the blower motor under the hood. Can almost be that the cowling has been filled with leaves at one time or another. Got to clean that stuff out every now and then.

How to Replace power steering hose on 2003 Pontiac montana

Very simple. Put the car on ramps. Remove the the fittings on both ends along with any clamps and remove the hose. Caution, these fittings can be very tight. You may need a flare nut wrench or self tightening wrench to get them loose. Be very careful not to cross thread fittings when installing. The hoses go from the pump to the rack and pinion unit under the car.

How to get the battery out

The battery in the 2003 Pontiac Montana is located in the engine compartment on the passenger's side just behind the headlight assembly. Changing the battery can be a little challenging because the Pontiac saw fit to bury it below several other parts in the van. The under-hood fuse box sits directly above the battery and a cross brace runs over the top of it as well. Dealing with both items is not complicated but does add time to the process. I heard a popping sound when I turned my heat on , and now the heat is not working at all...

Sounds like it burnt up the switch or maybe a fuse under the seat. Best to check all wiring and connections under seat and switch.

Rear wheels dont turn when i put van in drive. just drag on pavement. front wheel drive (2003, pontiac montana)

Sounds like someone has applied emergency brake, and it has not released for one reason or another. try applying e-brake, just until you feel it resist, then go another inch or so and release it. Keep trying to see if it will let go. Perhaps putting vehicle in neutral and try rocking it backwards will help also.

Pontiac Montana overheating

How do you know the thermostat is ok? If in doubt replace it. Water pumps are a even bigger what if. Did he do a radiator flush? Cooling system flush of the engine? Cooling fans come on at what temp and go off when? Replace the engine temperature sensor? 6 years old is bound to have sensors and such go bad.
