Is the check engine light on? If it is, take the truck to an autoparts store and have them use a scan tool to retrieve the fault codes that are stored in the computer. Most stores offer this service free of charge. That will help in narrowing down the problem. It sounds to me like it could be a possible faulty idle stop solenoid, but the code(s) would be helpful in finding out what is causing the problem. Sure hope this helped and good luck.

My car wouldnt go into park and it was making an awful noise then it died on me. Now it wont start and I think maybe the cable has disconnected somewhere?

You could possibly have a gear shift cable that's stiff or starting to seize up not allowing the shift lever to go into park .or if the car sits a lot the shifter shaft is starting to seize in the housing.

Jeep stalls gauges don't work windows and locks and radio don't work

when you state it wouldn't crank, do you mean the starter won't engage or that it just spins over and doesn't start? if no gauges or no starter engagement, then check the battery, battery connections, and the starter for excessive amperage draw. if the starter spins and the engine won't start, then check crankshaft position sensor first. the crank sensor is a more common failure than the distributor or any of the other things you mentioned.

LOTS OF THINGS COULD BE THE MATTER. FROM THE BATTERY TO THE GAS FILTER. FILTER MIGHT BE CLOGGED, ALTERNATOR MIGHT BE BAD AND DRAINED THE BATTERY. CHECK THE BATTERY FIRST.

Lumina Starting/Dying Problem

this could be one of the two things that I am thinking it is...it is either the throttle position sensor or it si the fuel pump getting too hot and cooling off slightly enough to restart the engine. Both are related but separate systems. The throttle position sensor is on the side of the throttle body and it merely tells the computer where the throttle plate is in the throttle body to create the proper fuel mixture for the injectors. The fule pump ios loccated insid eof the fuel tank it either runs or it doesnt usually. If it gets hot it is about to go completely out all together.
