I've had this problem with each of the 3 Volvos we own, 2000 S70, 200 V70 and 1998 S70. It is the switch itself that pits from the electronic arcing of the switch contacts. It can be fixed, but it never lasted very long. Had to get a new one.

Can't operate electric window on driver's side door

The door panel will have to come off. check for a bad motor or wiring to motor, or a bad drivers side switch. check the fuses first! and is the drivers side window locked on drivers side, just push the unlock window from the master controls on drivers side to see if it works. on my car, the drivers side window would not work. I accidentally hit the window lock with my arm. God-Bless!

Where is the the window motor located in the fuse of a 2004 trail blazer

You have 2 fuse boxes. One under the hood and one under the back seat on the drivers side. Both are well marked to find whatever fuse you are looking for.

Only one electric window works on 98 LINCOLN tOWN CAR? What to do?

Fuse relay box is usually under the dash on the driver's side. The underside of the cover for the box will have description of what each fuse operates. Also, Ford Motor Vehicles are notorious for bands lift the windows up and down on the tracks. They are made of nylon. Age and weather causes them to become brittle and they break. They are inexpensive but difficult to replace. Door panels have to come off. I hope this helps.

Problems WithChevy TrailBlazers
ElectricalProblems
Some of the mostcommon problems with the TrailBlazer involve the vehicle's electrical systemand accessories. Many drivers have experienced problems with the dashboardgauges, including the fuel gauge, speedometer and "check engine"warning light. Additional electrical problems include power automatic doorlocks and windows that fail to work or operate intermittently. These problemscan be difficult to diagnose as they can result from anything from a faultybattery to problems with the wiring or other electrical components.
Read more: Problems With Chevy TrailBlazers ' eHow.com A fuse contains a thin metal bridge between two terminals. When too muchelectrical current is drawn through the fuse the bridge melts, breaking thecircuit. This feature prevents damage to electrical components and limits thepossibility of a fire. The Chevrolet Blazer utilizes small fuses to protect thevehicle's wiring harness from overload. These are typically plug-in blades, notthe glass-barrel fuses used in older vehicles.
Location The fuse panel ona Chevy Blazer is located on the driver's side of the firewall beneath thedashboard. Some later models may be equipped with a fuse panel cover. To removethe cover, pull the retaining clips loose on each side and lift the cover fromthe panel. Replacing a Fuse Locatethe fuse you believe is burned out by its label or use the owner's manual as aguide. To remove the fuse, you may need needle-nose pliers; don't put too muchpressure on the fuse or you could crack the casing. Examine the thin metalstrip between the two terminals. If it is broken, scorched or deformed, it mustbe replaced. Read more: Fuse Box Instructions for a Chevy Blazer ' eHow.com

Passenger window doesn't go down. Its up all the way.

It's probably not the fuse.  Sounds like it is the window switch.  Go to a used parts dealer or a junk yard and get a new switch.  The switch should just pop out or go to autozone.com and look in there online automotive repair manuals to see how to pull the switch.  Hope this helps.  Good luck.
