Question about 2006 Volkswagen Passat

1 Answer

I need a skoda octavia workshop manual online and for free- can you help? it's quite urgent. We hit a rock, and ruptured some sort of filter in the fuel line, just under the passenger seat (on the right hand side, as car is left hand drive), and we need to find out what it is, exactly, so we can see about getting a replacement part. Thanks

Where is the Skoda Octavia transmission located

I bet you have an automatic transmission then. The transmission is located unter your bonnet and is directly attached to the engine (and to the front wheels of course)
Technically i have answered your question, but I'm not quite sure if that's what you really expected. Be more specific if I'm right.

Pump relay location

From the Haynes repair manual:
'access to the relays can be obtained after removing the drivers side lower facia then remove the two plate screws (one either end) and lower the plate complete with relays'. Some relays are at the rear of the engine (the second box left to the nearside suspension strut) as your looking into the engine (under a cover)

The fuel pump works off of these fuses/relays:
Pin 5 goes to fuse no. 32
Pin 10 goes to fuse no. 34
Fuses are fed from relay no. 109

Hope this helps, a diagram of the footwell is here:

My Skoda Octavia '97 lighter don't work.

The lighter socket has a separate fuse. I'm not really sure where the cockpit fuse panel is located in your model (didn't have myself), but I'm sure it should be documented in the owners manual.
Later models had the fuse panel at the left dashboard side which is accessible from the opened drivers door. (UK: possibly mirrored) I can imagine the early octavia still has the fuse panel under the dash either at drivers or passenger side. This was usual for a long time.

Front brake pads 2005 Skoda Octavia 1.9td

I have no idea what a skoda octavia is, but I know brakes are brakes. You have 2 bolts holding the pads in a slide, the bolts have threads only at the top, the rest is the slide, pull those bolts, if that doesn't release the slide, take out the 2 bolts holding the caliper on there, pull the slide out the other way. replace the pads, make sure they go back in the way came out. Put the bolts back on, tighten them up, you should be all set. The pad thickness sensor is just a ground, when the wire hits metal, it turns on a light, It should go off when it is not touching anything. You should have squealers on there too, they give an audible screech telling you it is time for some new pads. Hope this helps.
