The intruder alarm has sounded three mornings in a row at around 5am - 6am. Nobody is around, (including animals!) We have an intermittent problem with the key opening the door. Sometimes we have to use the key even tho we have locked using the 'bipper' as the lock is unresponsive. Are the two problems connected? Do we have an insomniac neighbour playing jokes?

Jeep Grand Cherokee 2004 alarm dash light flashing quickly and every morning alarm sounds at about 6am. Light used to flash about every 10 seconds.

well it needs service,
the VTA is complex.
read this chapter, first. or get car serviced.
my guess is there is a bad door switch. (common)
using the metal key part, is in the operators guide
this mode , (key metal ) disables the alarm system, a feature of it.
if you have a EVIC display in the dash cluster, it tells you which door s failing, lacking that, it takes a scan tool to learn that.
if the horn honks 3 times when open the door. that means
it tripped while your were gone, (door switches tripped)

here are the links to the free books
the operators guide (2004 get it before 2018 or its gone)

if really curious how it works. see this.
click WJ
then click veh, theft and security
bingo the whole ball of wax. chapter 8Q from JEEP,

2003 Jeep Wrangler alarm sounds in cab but no indicator lights flash

The beeping alarm would be for leaving the key in the ignition or the lights on. Maybe a gauge that had dropped to zero.
Let us know if it happens again and what the conditions are.

If your battery voltage is low, this will cause the alarm to go off. Even if you put it in valet mode it will still go off until you change your vehicle battery.

2004 MAZDA 6..THE ALARM WOULD NOT WORK THIS MORNING THE DEVICE WOULD NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK THE DOORS..MY CAR WOULD NOT START THIS MORNING . IT WOULD NOT MAKE A SOUND. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

With the little bit of information that you provided, it sounds like a battery problem. Check the battery cable connections for corrosion buildup, and clean them if necessary, then check and refill the battery fluid if yours is a serviceable battery (refill each cell to the split ring using distilled water). Once this service is complete, jump start the vehicle if you can, and then have the battery checked, and replace it if necessary. OEM batteries typically need to be replaced after three years or so.

I'm not sure that is possible without having your key in your ignition. When reprogramming keys or transmitters they would all have to be reprogrammed to work with your vehicle at the same time so as long as your current keys and transmitters work I'm pretty sure that this incident is pure fluke!

it sounds to me like you have a short or something in your car is using power. You might want to try to pull the fuse for the alarm and leave it out over night, then try the car in the morning and see if it starts. If it does then the problem is in the alarm. My car did that a couple of times and my alarm was the trouble and to replace it. Hope that helps.
