Question about 1998 Toyota Corolla
I put a new battery but the problem persists. I filled up the gaz tank. I have to try several time, including opening the hood and pushing the gaz pedal to the bottom while turning the key to the start position; and finally it starts. The phenomena is when I turn to start nothing happens, I try again with the gaz pedal fully pressed, nothing happens, no sound, sometime a sound of a click, I open the hood (we are in south of France, in July, 20 to 30 °C), I try alternating without pushing the gaz pedal and with, every time I turn the key to off position and then to start.
The alternator ground must be loose... try tracing the both negative and positive... tighten the connection... if problem persists try replacing the alternator
