SOURCE: 1990 dodge shadow - no power to dome light

Hello Flisa,
I am assuming the fuse is good. Rotate the bulb. If it still doesn't work:

  • Check the door jamb switches. If they are stuck in, the light may not work.
  • Check the dimmer switch (good walkthrough at http://shadrachandsharky.blogspot.com/2010/02/replacing-your-car-headlight-switch.html)
  • Test the circuit.

has a wiring diagram.

Best of luck!

Wife goes to start our 1991 Dodge Shadow and nothing. headlights work, dome lights etc. but anything that is tied to the ignition won't work. So I have been trying to find out where the ignition switc

It is on the steering column, below the ignition lock cylinder.
Before changing the switch, pull the electrical connector apart for the switch, and check for a power signal into the switch.
Probably a fusible link off the battery supplies power to the switch. Check that you have one hot wire going to the switch-one wire should have power available on it at all times. If no power to switch, check fusible links. If there is power available, then go ahead and replace the switch.

Need wiring diagram for rear dome light and defogger 4 92 wrangler s

My personal suggestion would be to go for these repair catalogs. I know this website www.reliable-store.com that i used to get manuals
from, and they have all models online.
I also brought for my 1989 BMW, such old model, they had it and it was very good manual. Go ahead, I bet.

Rear defogger/defroster is out in my 2007

The 30 amp fusible link located in the drivers side junction block controls power to the rear defoger. It is larger than a regular fuse it is pink and has a clear top.
The easiest thing to check first is just touch the terminal on the rear glass with a 12 volt test light or a DVOM to see if you have power.
