I have a 2003 jeep wrangler and for the first time I have taken off the doors. How do I get the dome and pedal lights to turn off?

it should be in the fuse box under the dash driver side by the brake pedal

It sounds as if the door switch that toggles on and off for open door or closed door is defective or it is a problem with the timer associated with same.

that's programmable on all cars.
old cars, a lever on Dome lamp or others on the HL stalk a mode.
HL = head lamps
my new car no light levers.
IT has a party mode, cute how now that old feature for 100 years
gets a name. PARTY, as all doors open for tail gate party and no light drain on battery. (death) my 08 JK has that.(wrangler)

all this is in the operators manual. in the glove box.

thats because of the little black button in door jams on cars. when your door shuts it pushes the button in, when your door opens the light comes on.

That's got to be a fuse. Look in your manual under Fuses to see which one needs to be replaced.

Generally you just push the gas pedal to the floor three times quickly to reset the oil sensor.

look on the reverse side of your fuse panel door

unplug the door jamb switches from the backside of the swich.

Come off the fuse box on a fused circuit that is from a battery wire. Always hot.

can you turn it on with the override switch? if so it might be door jamb switches
