This might be as simple as an oil filter draining down and delaying oil pressure during cold starts.Recomend usage of Nissan factory filters as theirs has a built in check valve to minimize bleed down. Also recomend oil no thicker than 5W30. You may be also faced with a hydralic lash adjuster bleeding down causing momentarily loose clearance in the valve rocker assembly. This particular ratlle would be half of crankshaft speed which would indicate upper end rattle.

didnt specify yr-make -model-engine size engine but most engines like im saying most engines oil pump is at bottom of engine in the oil pan the oil pressure sensor may be sending out correct pressure but if sensor is down by filter/pump area thats where your going to get your reading ---the noise is your heads starving for oil problem can be sludge clogging oil from getting up to head ---oil filter collapse not correct oil for the vehicle or oil pump failing

1990 s-10 4 cylinder 2.5, 5 speed, throttle body injection, 120,000 miles won't start without stating fluid. Runs fine after started, I've changed fuel pump, filter, plugs. I appreciate any help.

My first question would be is the injector spraying when you crank it ?
The way its supposed to work, the fuel line to the tank should have about 10psi of pressure before you crank the engine. When you turn the key on the pump gets power for 3 seconds to boost the pressure. The pump stops working until the engine has oil pressure which takes a few seconds.
If the base fuel pressure leaks back to the tank, or the pump relay is not powering the pump, you won't have any fuel pressure or spray until you get oil pressure.

Suxuki1999 grand vitara will not start.

Yes 2 or 3 seconds is normal. If the engine does not start and produce oil pressure the power to the pump is cut to prevent a fire in a wreck.
You will need to check fuel pressure at the injectors and spark at the plugs to know where to start looking for the problem.

My car start for a few seconds then cut of with engine light coming on. Then when I try to start it again it wont start at all. The only way to start it again is to switch car off. Lock then unlock car,...

There seems to be an lurking error that comes into the ECU/ECM and so it prevents the engine to run as this seems to be a protection for further damage or prevention.
So you need to check the input parameters to the ECM , check the engine oil,oil filters the fuel filters and the oil pressure switch. The check engine light code must be confirmed and identifed to recitify the fault. Please take consensus with the service center before you finalise the fault.

OIL LIGHT CAME ON VAN DIED AND CHECK OIL NOT OUT OF OIL WILL START AND RUN 2-3 SECONDS AND DIE

Have the vehicles oil pressure checked. If oil pressure is good then its the switch or the circuit. If oil pressure is not up to spec's then you have to replace the pump and there may have to be some engine work done like crankshaft bearings and cam shaft bearings. Have a technician check this out. This vehicle will shut down if oil pressure is too low.
Remember we are talking about OIL PRESSURE NOT OIL LEVEL.

I have a 1997 Chevy Blazer that has oil, but no pressure

There's something you can do to check if the oil pump is still working screw off the oil filter and start it only for a few seconds if oil shoots out the pump is working if it doesn't the pump could be clogged or it lose prime if it's working check the wire going to the oil pressure switch may be broken.

In some cases where the oil is not changed properly, the oil pump screen maybe plugging or your oil filter is defective. Fram is a good filter. If there is no problem found, replace the pressure sensor.

When the engine temperature is cold the oil pressure will climb depending on the RPM's. If I keep the RPM's below 1800, the oil pressure will remain at 3/4. If I go beyond 1800 RPM's with the engine block...

You need to have a mechanical test gauge hooked up to see if this is a false reading, this special gauge goes into the oil sender tap in the block and will let u know for sure if the pressure is to high cold, if it is the most common issues are wrong weight of oil, do u use oil heavier than 10W-30W? any other oil like 10W-40W will cause high oil pressure readings, the reason is the very tight rod and main bearing clearance's the engines now use, it is only about 1/2 the clearance of older engines, that is so the new fuel saving thin oils can be used.

Oil light

If the oil light is on it's one of 2 things: You have no oil pressure, or the sending unit (also known as the oil pressure switch) is defective and is reading no pressure when there actually is normal pressure. You should always assume it means no pressure, because driving it this way will ruin the engine.
