Hvac can be scanned for codes. Instead of just throwing money at it, have it scanned. I can guess, $400 controller. When it was a $50 motor

Ford Focus 2006 front windscreen heater not working. I can't find any diagrams showing the fuses or relays for this. Also the handbrake light is staying on.

If you mean that the heat is working for the floor but will not come out of the defroster vents or anywhere else it's the blend door actuator that controls which area to send the airflow or do you mean there's no heat at all from any position //no fan no power? If so you need to go to ford owners.Com and download the latest version of the owners manual then go to roadside emergencies and your fuse box diagrams and fuse values are there and the relays location also if all fuses are good then either the blend door actuator failed or the blower motor resistor the actual defroster switch /the ac / heater control panel switch please go to rockauto.Com and look in the heat/ac section & the electrical switch and relay section to see what your parts look like you can run jump wires from the battery to test them or a volt meter

Why the fan motor switch work on high only

Because the resistor which reduces the voltage to the blower motor and thus reduces the speed of the blower motor to give you 1,2 and 3 positions has burnt out. The resistor is located in the airflow coming from the fan motor so it stays cool. Look for wires coming from the black plastic housing near the fan motor under the dash. Google blower resistor for further help.....

Water incursion into floor well

check for blocked drain in the ac box and hose to outside . Check for core leak in heater core or loose broken heater hoses. . Finally check for rusted chamber at the base of the windscreen where the cabin air is allowed to get into the cabin.

1996 ford mustang convertible ac blows cold only from defroster

Does it still blow out the floor and defrost when you set the switch to those positions or does it alway blow out the defrost no matter what? If you can get air to blow out to the floor, then it sounds like you lost the switch that controls the airflow to the vents. If it only blows out the defrost, then you probably lost the vacuum to all of the switches. When the vacuum is lost, it will only blow out the defrost. Check the smallest line on the vacuum distribution block located in the corner near the brake master cyclinder. That line provides the vacuum to control the direction of airflow within the cabin.

1998 Nissan Pathfinder break lights stay on although car is off.

Check the brake light switch. It is in the drivers floor board, behind the brake peddle. The switch looks like a box with a button on it. the brake peddle is pressed, and presses the brake light switch. If the switch sticks, the brake lights will stay on.

2007 F-150 Supercrew Lariat Cabin Air Filter

According to the shop manual you do not have one.
Air Distribution and Filtering adobe.gif Printable View (79 KB) NOTE: The air distribution system of this vehicle cannot be equipped with a cabin air filter.
There are 2 sources of air available to the air distribution system:
  • Outside air
  • Recirculated air
Recirculated air is automatically used when the electronic manual temperature control mode selector is set in the MAX A/C or OFF modes and can be selected in any mode other than MAX A/C, OFF or DEFROST by selecting the RECIRC button. Recirculated air is available in all modes except DEFROST. If the vehicle is equipped with an electronic automatic temperature control (EATC) system, recirculated air is used in OFF and is available in all modes except DEFROST. RECIRC mode is a timed function in FLOOR and FLOOR/DEFROST.
Air distribution within the vehicle is determined by the electronic manual temperature control (EMTC) function selector switch position, or is controlled by the EATC system in the AUTOMATIC mode. The air distribution mode on EATC vehicles may be overridden by the driver if desired. Air distribution doors are used to direct airflow within the heater core and evaporator core housing and the plenum chamber. An electronic mode door actuator is used to position these air distribution doors. One air inlet mode door is used to switch between FRESH or RECIRC air inlet. An electric actuator is used to position the air inlet mode door.
Air enters the passenger compartment from the:
  • instrument panel A/C registers.
  • heater outlet floor ducts.
  • windshield defroster duct.
  • side window demisters.
  • center flow-through console (if equipped).
Passenger compartment air is exhausted from the vehicle through open windows or body air vents.
