Question about 2005 Volkswagen Jetta

My 2005 tdi jetta dies, espically when it is hot outside. The car will die and is very hot to get started. It almost acts like the fuel is vapor locking.

Try checking will the cars is at running temp if the fuel pump is holding correct pressure

Vapor locks


It could be a vapor lock but not likely. Since the introduction of fuel injection vapor lock has been eliminated.
You need to figure out if you are loosing fuel pressure or spark when it will not start back up. Could be a fuel pump relay or ignition module among other things. Even a problem with the vent for the gas tank.

It sounds like the battery cables are loose or like with my car the battery wire some how got cut and had no indication when I pulled the car into garage next morning it didn't start.

don't replace bypass with elect. inline pump can be mounted under car or in engine compartment .ps make sure it has same amount of presure needed for your car.
