Shifter for odyssey broke off

hey look under neath where ur driver footpedals are. chances are that the rubber grommet on the end of ur cable came off or broke.. look up into the column area an look for the black cable goin to a pivot point on shifter arm. reconnect. but will prob need new cable cause if end is no good will fall of again. move shifter back an forth to help u locate area of cable

Three answers I can give one shift cable going from shifter to trans is broken at the end That connects two the coulm there not real cheap saying that I have been in the coulm of at lest 20 of them from 97 thru 2006 same problem 20 + more were broke were that end of the cable connects to the column in witch the column had to be replaced

get a manual

Shift lever collar is what is broke on our 2002 Mountaineer. It isn't difficult to replace, just time consuming. Look up part number 905-104 at Oreilly's

get a new lever punch out the roll pin that holds it in.replace lever and reinstall roll pin

The gear shift mounts to a rod. The rod has the c clap that the shifter clips into. Fords a joke and won't replace it. But u can get the replacement lever on ebay for around fifty bucks. Easy to replace on the bottum thiers a star bolt. Un do it the broke rod will slide out. Slide new one it tap ur pin out of the broken piece on your shifter. Slide it in the new one. And their u go. And to think ford wanted to replace whole colum. Part on ebay search under ford shifters. And u can't miss the replacement part

This kind of sounds like you might of broke your shifter interlock. If that is the case you will need a new shift cable.

a wrecking yard would be my best guess for a replacement steering column, cheapest also.

check under the dash where shift linkage connects to shift cable will be two #30 torx bolts which have probably worked loose you do not have to remove wheel easy fix
