On my 2005 Crossfire the paint is bubbling on the deployable spoiler. Is this covered under a corrosion warranty?

NO,but it is normal for the paint to bubble on some plastic trims due to their makeup/type of plastic.the corrosion warranty is not worth the paper you use in the toilet...."applicable only if the paint surface is not broken and rust has taken place under the surface of the paint layers"(how do you know if its rust without breaking the surface to see.........)

Same problem with grill bubbling what to do 2004 niss murano

I've decided to "black" mine out with a high gloss black. First I'm going to take the grill off & see if I can use airplane paint remover on a small area to remove the coating that is bubbling.

If so, then i'll primer the surface & repaint it as is since it should be smooth after the remover works and I scrape it down and wash it clean.

You could then leave it once the clearcoat is removed, re-coat it with clearcoat, or paint it any color, even to match. Automotive spray paint is available at auto-parts stores for this type of material, just get the right can of spray paint.

If I find the paint remover won't work without hurting the actual grill, I'll use some fine grit sandpaper and prep the surface, then primer it and paint it high gloss black. Color choice is optional of course!

Maybe this will help.

Nissan Murano 2004

This is still okay. I experienced the same in my country and it costed me equivalent of $400for the grill and $100 for labor.

Consider fixing at the rate you got.

Sorry.

Rate this please.

Remove grill for painting

You need to take the whole bumper assembly off. Then you can unbolt the grill once off.

Nissan Murano 2004

This is a common problem on the 2004 model year MO's in particular and it's been an issue specially during this years cold winter. Take a look at this forum http://www.nissanmurano.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12397 and you can see other people who've had the same issues and what they've done about it. You can call Nissan North America and put in a complaint about it and ask if they will cover it under good will if you don't have the continued warranty. Good luck.

Confused regarding paint code

LA7W and 8E are both codes for silver. 8E was also used in mid-80's for beige, but in 2000's was used for reflex silver. good luck
