I was driving and all the sudden the air bag light came on started flashing and now stays on and how do i get it off
The flashing is a code, you need to get a pen and a piece of paper and decode this. It is a two digit number the first set of flashes is the first number so lets say it flashes 3 times and then pauses for 3 to 5 seconds your first number would be 3 and then after the pause it blinks 4 times that would be your second number... so your code would be 34. anyways here is a list of the code meanings so after you count the two set of flashes and get your code compare it here

SOURCE: Air Bag Code
Code 52 relates to low voltage detected in a capacitor inside the airbag module. 45 seconds after key on, this capacitor should have a voltage of around 23 volts.
This capacitor stores energy to deploy the airbag in the case of a collision.
Because your airbag light is on, your system is deactivated (cannot deploy)
In your case, the airbag computer detects less than 23 volts at that capacitor 45 seconds after key on, and disables the system.
There is a diagnostic procedure involved in fixing this problem, but usually means a bad airbag module (computer)
This should only be checked by a qualified technician, as airbag service can be dangerous and there are strict procedures to follow so the bags don't inflate suddenly and cause injury.
