Question about 2003 Dodge Ram Maxi
I have a 2003 Dodge Ram Pickup truck with a hemi engine. At 21,000 the engine light came on and we took it to be repaired at our Chrysler dealership. After a little over a month of trial and error they discovered a spring broke in the #8 cylinder. It was repaired. Now at 43K the engine light came on and they found it to be the #4 cylinder spring had broke and needed to be repaired. They changed out the head, springs on one side, one valve and one piston. The truck was returned to us one week ago and the engine light is now on again. We will be returning the truck to the dealership Monday morning to see what the problem is this times. If it turns out that it's the same problem again what are our options??? What should we be looking to accomplish...a new engine? At this point we do not find our vehicle to be safe and dependable. It only has 43k miles and on it and we were looking forward to finally having it paid off soon and living without a vehicle payment. Please advise.
