Testimonial: "No. It goes to drive fine but when parking sometimes when coming out of drive to park the shift selonoid locks and it will only go to neutral can not get past reverse to park"

I think you have a failing transmission, have a shop confirm this, they many times don't charge for initial diagnosis.

My 2005 nissan altima won't change from park when crunk up. what could be the problem?

Usually a sign of a faulty brake light switch or lock solenoid on the shifter. You may be able to get the shifter out of park by turning the key to the unlock position but not "on".
There may be a button you can push next to the shifter to unlock in an emergency. Check your owners manual.

Nissan Altima 2006 automatic gear shift got stick in neurtral and won"t go into reverse or park can you help

This seems to be a common problem. Sometimes something like a pen or other items find their way to the shifter linkage and it can cause the linkage to bind preventing it going into park etc. Or you may have a bad shifter cable. Remove the housing around the shifter and see if anything did get in the way of the shifter. While the housing is of, move the selector up and down from park to drive. This will give you a better view of what is happening.

The shifter is locked and engine turns on but can not shift from park

1st, have someone step on brake pedal while you check to see if your brake lights are working, if yes proceed to step 2, if not check your brake light fuse(Left side of dash fuse#20- 10amp)IF fuse is good replace brake light switch on brake pedal. 2nd Step (brake lights ok) Turn key on engine off, press and release brake pedal several times slowly, listen for a click and and pulse on shifter handle. IF yes you have a shifter malfunction replace shifter assembly. IF no, inspect shift interlock solenoid and or relace solenoid and cable. You should see a small access cover about the size of a peanut around base faceplate of shifter assembly use small screwdriver and remove cover, use screw driver to press button underneath plate and release shifter into reverse and drive gears(this is manual overide) if you need to move vehicle in the meantime.

2006 Altima doesn't shift into reverse

The problem that I could see is the transmission/shift solenoid. The solenoid thing is located inside the transmission. The repair should run $200-$250 or there abouts. If you don't fix it quickly though, you will wreck the transmission and you don't want to know how much that costs!

You may also contact the manufacturer for second opinion.

Hope this helps and have a great evening!

2006 Altima won't shift into reverse or park

Is there any warning lights or malfunction besides this?? There are three main parts that may cause this: Park/Neutral safety switch(located on the transmission), Brake pedal switch(located at the brake pedal), Shift lock solenoid(located below the shifter). P/N safety switch prevents the shifter from shifting out of (P) or shifting into (R/P) while vehicle is in motion. Brake pedal switch sends a signal to release the shifter lock to shift out of park. Shift lock, locks the shifter as describe above and is located at the shifter base. I recommend inspection/replacement of the shift lock solenoid and P/N safety switch as its an intermitted problem. Hopefully this helps

Wont shift out of park unless I stick a screw driver in a small hole above gear shifter.

You must remove the console yes, and you need to replace the shift lock solenoid.

2005 nissan altima

That is the shift interlock solenoid. It clicks when you hit the brake pedal, and should do it all the time. They are mounted under the shifter and are notoriously loud....Nissan has a fix for it (just a little rubber bumper) Go to nissanhelp.com, sign up and go look at the TSBs for your car. You will find it there.
