Question about 1994 Dodge Dakota Club Cab
This is a picture of stock cross-member on a Toyo truck. It is the 4 inch by 4 inch square piece of metal on the bottom side of the truck, almost directly below the mirror in this pic (under the truck).
This is a pic of a modified cross-member this guy bought for the same truck. Notice how much flatter this one is than the one above. He kept getting hung up on stuff he was trying to 4-wheel over, so he replaced it with the one below. BTW- the cross-member holds up your transmission.
He claims that he gets much better clearance because he no longer gets hung up on stuff. I'm including his web page link. He gives the manufacturer link there to order them, but I am not endorsing them... just passing along info. You can also go to your local junk yard and pic up a stock one, or your local auto parts store. Your choice. Good Luck!
