Save the time and trouble and upgrade the audio system, preferably with a better audio system that will play CD's without skipping, but will also play newer formats like MP3, AVI, etc.

Just changed the battery for the first time in 2004 crv LX model. Everything fine, but radio/cd etc just has the word COde across the display and nothing will work...??? what is the code and/or how do I...

Whenever you disconnect a car battery, the radio needs to have the Security code installed. It is for theft protection. It is the code you programed into it when you bought the car. If you bought the car new, the code is usually a series of zero's, usually 3 or 4. If you bought the car used, you may have to contact the previous owner, & ask what they used as a radio code, or if they recoded it. If that is not possible, you'll have to take it to a dealer, to have the radio reprogrammed. If you have an owners manual, it will be described in there also, on how to do it all.

2004 Dodge Neon SXT, added new battery need code to reset car

if you are the original owner, look in your paperwork. if you cant get to the original owner or they dont have the info, you can go to your dealer, and they can reset it for you. and charge you

or you can just start entering codes till it works, which will take you weeks or more.

good luck

IF YOU BRING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WITH PROOF OF OWNERSHIP, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO ASSIST YOU AT LITTLE OR NO COST TO YOU. SOMETIMES A PHONE CALL WORKS TO GET THE CODE. I HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA AND FOR AN HONEST RATING TOO.

2004 suzuki verona replaced the battery and now the cd player doesn't work it flashes COD which i assume is "code" but it isn't in the owner's manual. what's the code? where can i find the code?

only new vehicle dealers can access code for you at a cost
some car audio dealers can also get this number out of radio
best and eaziest is dealer
some times radio has to be removed and part number and serial number is required from radio then authority form faxed to radio supplier for vehicle to get answer back.
some are able to get this access using secure dealer web sites. ask for code and then keep it for future.
