So your taillights should have 2 bulbs in them. 1 that turns on when you turn your lights on and stays on until you turn them off. That same bulb should have a 2nd circuit that lights up when you press on your brakes. The 2nd bulb appears when your reverse gear is engaged. So if you have no lights on right you have to replace both bulbs and if you have no brake light on the left you just have to replace your rear brake light bulb.
Well, if you have power on the tail light circuit you should have lights. The tail light circuit is different from brake and turn signal, and they both use the same ground. Are you sure you have power on the tail light circuit to the bulbs ? And are the parking lights out for the front too ?

This sounds like it could be a problem in the wiring harness. You can probably get a new one at the dealership or a parts store but it is very complicated to put in. Recomended you take it to a shop that has experience with that to get it checked out to be sure.
Which tail light? - Brake? - Reverse? - Night Red?
Do all the other lights in the cluster unit work?
Check the supply fuses in the dash or engine bay, they should be mapped on the fuse box door or in the owners handbook.
Put a multimeter (Volts DC) across the supply lines and see if you get voltage (when operated).
If its brake, check the floor actuator (switch) behind the pedal shaft.
If its reverse, do the same for the actuator by the gearstick.
Hope this helps.
