I have a 2004 Lincoln Ls v6 and my wrench light is on. I change the fuel pump. I changed the throttle body and two sensors and my car still wont start any help.

    Your COPs(coils on spark plugs) are bad.The interference from these bad COPs messes up a lot of other electronics. Happened to me. Throttle went haywire. don-ohio (:^)

    The above comment applies to most fail-safe mode problems,but since it won't even start it might be the anti-theft system. May need key reprogrammed? Talk to Ford dealer about it. don-ohio (:^)

check the injector relay and the injector fuse if they are good you might want to make sure the computer was programed right. and check to see if the injectors are getting a signal from the ecu

Your problem is a leak in the cpi pletium most likely the pressure line has a leak
had same problem with mine $45.00 PRESSURE LINE KIT AND $15.00 GASKET FOR PLETIUM and 2 hours labor problem sovled.
You can remove vortec cover and remove air regulator to look inside pletium. I had gas vapor on driver side . that is where fuel lines are. fuel regulator is on passenger side. turn key on and look in hole and see where fuel is spraying. taking pletium off you can again turn key on and make sure where fuel is coming from.

SOURCE: blew fuse to fuel pump,didnt realize it had blown

there may be another bad fuse, double check, are injectors spraying, if you spray throttle body will it start.

SOURCE: 1992 vortec v6 motor getting spark and strong fuel

the probem is probably in the injector assembly whichis under the intake plenum.after removing it you will se the plastic tubes and ijector popit valves unlike actual individual injectors.this whole contraption must be replaced as an assembly.you can get repair manuals from this site or go to you library.it may actually be flooding as these had problems with leaking fuel pressure regulators which i think are also only part of the whole assembly.

I'm just gonna say that many problems are caused on the LSes because of faulty Coil-On-Plugs(COPs) and spark plugs when they cause interference in PCM signals.Only replace with Motorcraft parts.
To start the car,try unplugging the MAF sensor. don-ohio (:^)

2004 lincoln LS water fills spark plug well causing misfire

My car is a 2003 ls V6 keeps getting a misfire and no acceleration when pressing the gas. I've done changed the map sensor, new throttle body, coul packs and spark plugs 3 times and just recently re changed them once again and noticed the spark plug holes were completely filled with water. Anyone with possible answers would be helpful

LIMP MODE HOME

The O2 Sensors need to be changed at 100,000 miles,
before they fail & you get a MIL Lamp on your dash

Just the front (2) closest to the engine, at the converter inlet

The ETC Failsafe, is most likely bad COP ignition coils
Have to check for cylinder misfire count with a professional
scan tool in Mode #06,unless you want to spend a few days
walking a new coil from one cyl to the next

Always provide V6 or V8 in your question & lots of detail

The Lincoln LS 2002 what causes the engine to cut off in local traffic or sitting at a traffic light.

1--(TPS) Throttle Position Sensor
2-Mechanically bound fuel pump.

Check for codes,if light is on dash,when it occurs.

TPS- is avail at auto part store or online. Forget the dealer. They will sell you the entire throttle body. Only need that if the motor fails. Sensor is replaceable.

Check fuel pressure also.

My 2005 lincoln Ls check engine light and wrench light comes on. the first time - a ford tech. changed a spark plug& wire. the second time a different spark plug & wire. third time another spark...

I have the same problem. My Lincoln Ls wrench light comes on and it quits. All spark plugs, all coils and the throttle body has been replaced. I think the LS model is a lemon! Any information or suggestions will be appreciated.

2004 lincoln ls,v6,no codes,no power when apply the gas pedal.

Did you check fuel pressure? Fuel filter fairly new? Air filter clean and all duct work tight? Battery voltage good when engine is running? Check Throttle Position Sensor for codes and values. Also Ignition coils go bad on these ,as often as you change your socks. TPS is avail on line and auto parts store. You do not have to go to dealer or change entire throttle body, just the sensor,if bad.


You will need a new TPS Sensor,Egr Valve, Ignition Coil or two and a Transmission Solenoid Pack,pretty soon. I have a 2004 V8 L/S. Tough car to troubleshoot and a never ending saga,as is most Fords.

more like ECU fault,again same answer as to all questions like this ,dealer only encrypted software and patented pins in the OBDII connector ,nobody has an OBDII reader with all 17 pins in only the common used ones
