On Chrysler products, the first thing you check is the ASD relay to see if it is working. It powers several things including the coil and injectors on some models.
No spark can be caused by not having power to the coil, or signals from the cam and crank sensors.

It could be the computer. It could be a relay or something in the wiring harness too.
You would need a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams and test procedures to find the problem.
You need to know if the coil assembly and injectors are getting power from the ASD relay, and if the computer is getting signals from the cam and crank sensors.

With scaner hook up, look at data scoll to cam and crankshaft sensor, should red yes while cranking engine, but more them likely it's going to be crankshaft sensor, sits on right side of engine block.Good luck.

coil pack bad or ecm shot. unplug 1 wire from coil pak and hold close to metal while a friend cranks ignition. if you see a spark then paks are bad. no spark indicates bad ecm.

Crank position sensorn on the bellhousing needs to be replaced most likely.

It can be but choose a mechanics that is expert to that. Because its called converting, to that 1997 dodge Intrepid car you have.

Check the starter...it is on the battery side by the manifold and autozone will do a free test. if thats not it, check if there is a fuze on the wire to to starter...and if that isn't it then it could be your ignition switch
