Yes. Mazda recommends your transmission be serviced every 30,000 miles. This means that your car is 19,000 miles overdue.

Can you tell me where to find dip stick for automatic transmission fluid for 1998 1.8 vw passat.

The dipstick is marked ATF Engine Oil and is close to the oil. Pull this dipstick out. Wipe it off with a clean paper towel. Look at the fluid on the paper towel. Transmission fluid needs replacing if it is brown. Fresh transmission fluid is translucent red.

Need to know where the dip stick for a 2004 vw passat is or if it has a dip stick to check the transmission fuild ?

unfortunately your car does not have a dipstick. if it is an automatic transmission, there is a specialized procedure involving the dealers scan tool to check the level.

How do you check the transmission fluid there is

You do not. All you can do is have a reliable service center flush trany, replace filter, and hope they put enough in.

with car running in park and warm remove the oil dip stick tube and check the fluid level remove the fluid with an old rag or a paper towel then stick it back in, pull out again and hold perpendicular to the ground so the fluid will not run up or down the stick, turn it so you can see the fluid level. if it is full your OK also look at the fluid, if it's brownish color and smells like burnt onions yo need to have the filter and fluid changed or you will damage the transmission. A transmission fluid and filter change costs about $150.00 average and also have them to add Lucas Transmission oil treatment so it will condition the bands clutch packs and seals, most cars need the fluid changed every 30,000 miles to make the transmission last the lifetime of the car. This is the most overlooked service on automobiles besides doing a routine tuneup.

Toyota rav4 2007 with 28,000 miles when should I change trans fluid

you can dip the stick & check fluids condition
look for disclouoration [should be cherry reddish colour] if its not red then smell it for burning & rub some between your fingers it should be very smooth & very slippery!
its not just a matter of changing the fluid when the trans needs a filtee & clean& its a messy job without th e right tools
So book it in for a complete service !
i do miy car every year withiut fail & its hardly ever driven!
but if you do lots of miles do it more often
I hope thtis helps

Transmission fluid type and level

This is complicated.... Ok, your right, no dip stick is there! This is how it works.
Underneath the car, there is a plug (11mm) on the transmission case on the passenger side. It is about 3" up from the pan edge and on the front side of the case. With the engine running in PARK, remove this plug. If trans fuild doesn't run out of the hole, the level is low. Pour it in the hole on top (where the red cap is) until the fluid runs out - all while the car is running. Once it is roughly dribbling out, the trans is considered full. replace plug. Your done!!

How do you check the auto trans fluid in 1995 ranger xlt 3.0l?

There are two's to check.
1st way is to check it when the reansmission is still cold, whild the engine is running and it's in park. Pull out the dip stick to the transmission which should have a red handle. Pull it out and clean it and push it back in and pull it out again, at the end of the dip stick there are markings which should say cold and hot. If your transmission is still cold do to your just started it. The oil level should at least be in the cold markings or just above.
2nd way is the same as the first, just your transmission has been working. Say you have been driving and stop for gas and everything is hot and you check your transmission oil. The you'ld look to see if your transmission oil is up to the full mark where it say's hot.
Note: It's better to check the fuild to the trasmission when it's hot, just becareful not to burn your self.
Check for oil level and texture of the oil. Oil should be free of bubbles and have a bright red in colour. If there are sign's of bubbles in the oil or the fuild is dark burgundy colour. it's time for a tansmission oil and filter change. Try not to do a transmission flush if you have over 80,000 miles.
Good luck and hope this helps

Transmission fluid

First make sure you need transmission fluid by checking the fluid level. To do this the transmission needs to be warm, in park with the engine running. Pull the dip stick out of the tube and wipe off with a rag or paper towel. Re insert dip stick all the way down and pull dip stick back out. Is the fluid red and is the fluid level in the hatch marks? If so it's ok. If below the min. level mark you will need to add fluid. Use a funnel and stick into the end of the transmission dipstick tube. Add the necessary amount of transmission fluid by pouring it into the funnel. Use ATF-3 fluid and do not overfill. Add a little at a time (like a 1/4 of a quart at a time). Also when checking fluid level be sure vehicle is on level ground.

With vehicle running and fully warmed up Put vehicle on a level surface. Pull out transmission dip stick( normal color of fluid is red/ brownish red in color and dip stick is usually red in color) There is hot level and normal position which are marked by notches in dipstick or grid markings, make sure its at the right level. For Engine old and every thing else vehicle shout be in off position(Engine not running). Good Luck
