How to reset the check engine light on a 2011 arcadia

Need to pull DTC for HVAC system.

I started resetting programming ?????? what programming an how did you do that . Check engine light on ???? What DTC'S ?

Maintenance Interval light is set though the computer. Either the servicing shop can do it for you or you can invest in a VAG-COMadaptor/software that plugs into your OBD connector. Check ebay/amazon for VAG-COM. Cheap ones will let you reset a check engine light or reset your service interval but not much more.

Hey guys I have a 2011 Dodge Nitro 3.7 and today my engine light came on and it was running like I was on rumble strips. I floored it and it sputtered and ran terrible then the light started flashing then I cut it off tried to reset still the light came on. I put the scanner on it and it turned out to be the coil plug on the #3 cylinder. COIL PLUG. Hope this helps out GOD BLESS!

The check engine light arises when ECU finds any fault in the vehicle. Check for error code using On- Board Diagnostic system and then repair the codes.

Have a professional reset by on board diagnostic: You can tell any professional mechanic who have on board diagnostic system to reset the check engine light. The mechanic would not charge you with any penny.

If you do not want to try any of the above method then try hard resetting the check engine light; for hard resetting, follow the steps below:

1. Remove the battery terminals

2. Switch on the lights and press the horn for few minutes until last bit of electricity is drained.

3. When the horn stops working, you can now connect the battery again.

Check engine light comes on and off, these are indication that there is some error code stored in your vehicles ECM. The engine module computer needs to be scanned. These will give the code and as per the error code the further problem can be detected and confirmed. The engine light indicator blinks or remains steady on dash when engine computer noticed any problem with any engine electrically operated components.
